The sushi here is out of this world. For a real treat, when I want some delicious and guaranteed fresh sushi, I head to Midori. Everything I've had on the menu from spicy tuna to dragon rolls, Iron Chef and Midori rolls... they are all fantastic. The hibachi is likewise top notch, I especially love the teriyaki beef and shrimp. Even the house salad with ginger dressing is the best I've ever had, and for $2.50 thats what I call a bargain. Tremendous artistry here, check out the photos to confirm this claim. There are seats at the sushi bar, just pull up a chair. Its also very solemn in this place, you can literally hear a pin drop. Makes it a good spot for a romantic date cause I guarantee nobody is going to disturb you. They also have an excellent delivery service, for a $20 minimum and you can order online. And they have coupons on their website, make sure you grab one.

We JUST ordered sushi for delivery, and goodness was it delicious! A Red Dragon roll, Crunchy Tuna, some individual Octo/Tako? pieces, Gyoza, and a ginger salad! The Red Dragon is a fried roll and it was still hotter than some pizzas I order for delivery! Everything else is pretty much your standard sushi taste. Just as delicious as sitting in, except we got to stay in the comfort of our home and catch up on some Netflix! The only thing I'd say was off is the ginger dressing to the salad. I'm not sure if they make theirs similar to a mayo dressing, but it definitely didn't have enough ginger pizazz to it. Regardless, we will be ordering again because it's a delight to be able to have delicious sushi delivered to your doorstep!

Really like how they had the food ready when I ordered ahead , waiting on the table. I came last minute before they closed one night and they took my to go order. They are super quiet and it's awkward in there if you're laughing Etc but it's a good time w friends. Sad to say: It's pricey but their sushi isn't the best in town anymore.

Very Quit lunch, food was normal for Japanise. Terriaki Srimp, with Dumplings for a side. Tea black leaf. Maybe a dinner would be better.

This is a quaint, family sushi restaurant. The sushi is delicious and fresh. The menu is pretty much par for the course, but they have a specialty board that changes. The hibachi is quite tasty and I've enjoyed this food many times. They are a little slow with the service at times. I recommend this place.

Sushi was great but the servers were annoyingly slow. They were spacey and lethargic. Dinning experience was subpar. I'll try takeout next time.

Average food but they do have some online promotions and daily specials that are worth taking note of.

The waiter "Boss" total ass hole and will never come back.I asked him for hot Chile sauce and he stepped away I asked for shrimp sauce. He said how many things do you want? He just screwed up.I have never had a waiter talk to me like that. I was the only one in there.

I've lived right down the street for two years and I'm kicking myself for never coming here before! My husband and I decided to try it since it's close to home. The salmon tempura bento box and chicken teriyaki bento box is delicious! Way too much food for the two of us to eat, I'm glad we have leftovers. I'll definitely be a regular here from now on.

In the Orange Park land of chain restaurants, it's refreshing to dine at family-run Midori. The food never disappoints, and the owner's daughters make it feel like you're joining the family dinner table. My husband and I have been coming here since 2008 and always look forward to our experience. The establishment is clean, and the decor is conducive to a relaxing dining experience. The sushi bar area is especially cute, with a wooden "pagoda" overhead, vases full of bamboo, and twinkle lights. Watch as the sushi chef creates with care, making each roll piece of art.

Midori is a cute, family-owned sushi joint in Orange Park. Before I moved from OP to the Southside when I started at UNF, I was stoked when a sushi restaurant finally opened up and it quickly became my usual sushi spot when I didn't feel like making the drive to Riverside for some Sushi Cafe. Whether I dine in or pick up, service is always friendly, the sushi is fresh and well-constructed, and I'm never disappointed. They have a nice selection of rolls, not too boring and not too crazy, all at prices that won't break the bank. Affordable lunch specials, also. The decor is very simple, but pretty as well as authentic. A beautifully woodworked ship adorns the sushi bar. Very clean establishment, too. And often you'll see the owners' young daughters running around the restaurant. Cute kids. The experiences I've had dining with Midori have been consistently satisfying ever since I first placed an order approximately five years ago. Whenever I'm making a visit to my parents or an old friend in OP and I'm craving sushi, I don't hesitate to head to Midori for some good quality sushi at reasonable prices, served with a smile!

Sushi and peper tuna was delicious. Chef handled money with disposable gloves the cut raw sushi without using a clean pair. Dangerous practices!

Pretty good! Sushi was great!! I order terriyaki shrimp which was good...a little overpowering with the terriyaki. Only thing is wish they had hibachi.

Very good sushi! It tastes very similar to sushi that I have had in japan. The staff was very friendly. I had the miso soup and it was fantastic. probably some of the best miso soup I ever had. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I seemed like there was a little bit of wasabi in the sushi. That is very common in japan, but for me personally I am not a fan of. I will definitely go bad though! They also have special rolls that are not on the menu that is available when you visit on the wall.

It's okay sushi. The part that bothers me the most is that they don't know how to cook the rice properly. It ALWAYS ALWAYS falls apart if you get the individual sushi pieces. The fish is only average quality. See website for coupon.

Hands down the best sushi and sashimi my husband and I have had in the Duval/Clay area. Very quaint and cozy, and the owners are more than friendly. We have become "regulars" as this is our favorite local date night restaurant. I can't believe the bad reviews. I have never seen anything near what they describe. Everything is fresh and delicious. By far the best tasting and the best value we have ever had.

If you are not a huge sushi fan try the chicken Maki roll. If you are a huge sushi fan tell chef Kevin the sort of things you enjoy and ask him to surprise you. The thing that sets Midori apart is the attention to fish quality. I'll venture to say they have the highest quality fish of any place in town. The chef there can actually list every seafood supplier in town and break down their fish quality one by one. I asked and he did it for me. Midori puts out great food consistently and the people who run it are top notch. On my most recent visit I tried the kani cheesesteak which is a fried appetizer where crab stick and cream cheese are surrounded by a tasty batter and served hot. You might call it the sushi version of crab rangoon but with better batter on the outside. I also tried another roll I can recall the name of which had 4 different kinds of caviar on it with tuna and salmon on the inside. The contrast between the different kinds of caviar was really interesting and the roll was very tasty.

Wow, I can't believe this place got any bad reviews. I've been coming here for years and they are absolutely delicious. The service is always great and the sushi is wonderful.

The pictures posted on here are pretty deceiving. They do not compare to the actual sushi you'll be getting. The sushi rolls tasted like ready made store bought rolls. One of my husband's rolls had this strong fish odor/taste which made me question the quality of the fish. The chicken teriyaki lunch bento box is probably your best bet at this place.
